A few days after Valentines – February 18th to be exact – G and I got quite the surprise when we found out we were expecting! I had been told by several doctors that my chances of having a child naturally were quite poor due to endometriosis and that most likely I would have to explore infertility treatments such as IVF to get pregnant. So, you can imagine our shock when not one, but two, at home pregnancy tests showed an immediate positive result that February afternoon.

We confirmed the pregnancy with our physician a few days later and have been so thrilled to see our little babe on two separate ultrasounds at week 8 and 12. G and I are beginning to plan our life together as a family and are painting the nursery a light neutral gray until we know more. We are so excited to welcome a baby into our lives!

My pregnancy has been plagued with quite the bout of morning sickness (or as I like to call it all day sickness, lol) but we are grateful for a healthy baby who is growing with no complications. G has been incredible throughout the process by making grocery store runs for Perrier, checking in on me several times a day and getting used to a lot of nights in and girly movies galore. At my sickest I want to watch all the Disney and Jane Austen films and even listen to their soundtracks. Garr has already started calling me momma bear which I absolutely adore. He has been incredible!

Our official due date is October 21st and we can not wait to find out the gender in a few short weeks! I am officially 16 weeks along and I can not wait to share all that is to come with y’all!

Stay Tuned!!

Love, Jacque, G and our little babe

  1. Congratulations! I am 26 weeks pregnant and expecting a baby girl in August! I feel for you with the morning sickness during the first trimester, but can say it subsides in the second trimester! To help with morning sickness now I am recommend eating saltines before you sit up in the morning, carry preggo pops with you, and try Yoplaits Protein Greek yogurt which has been a life-saver to me in the mornings! Wonderful that you have such a supportive partner. My husband is the same way! Enjoy every moment of your pregnancy.
